Fauzdar Nallappa (1774 to 1828)
Sri Fauzdar Nallappa along with his brothers puttaniah and Lakshminarasiah were the founders of the Temple. They built this temple as per the directions given to them by lord Narasimha in a dream.
Sri Fauzdar Nallappa dedicated their complete estates, properties and Jodi gramas to the Temple in memory of their parents Alamelamma and Dewan kacheri Krishnayya.
Sri Fauzdar Nallappa was the Fauzdar (Military officer) of Chitradurga & Tumkur (Formerly called Chitaldoorg). It is believed that he used to speak to lord Narasimha on a daily basis and seek his advice.
Sri Fauzdar Nallappa is the author of “HYDER NAMAH” which gives an account of state of affairs of Hyder Ali and the Mysore state in an extensive way.
Narasappa (around 1800 to 1860)
Being the son of Fauzdar Nallappa, he was equivalent to the chief secretary position of the government/ Royal kingdom of Mysore.
T K Nallappa – 2 (1844 - 1928)
He was the glorious of all dharmakarthas. He was instrumental is setting up various industries like rice mills, oil mills, chalk factories across Tumkur. He was the member of Mysore representative assembly representing Tumkur in the court of Mummudi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, Chamaraja Wodeyar, Nalmudu Krishnaraja Wodeyar. Under his leadership there was large scale developmental activities in Tumkur through the government while he was a member of Mysore representative assembly.
The Temple came into prominence under his leadership. He was instrumental in up keeping the Temple rituals and traditions for over 65 years.
Lakshminarasiah Dandapani (1893 - 1957)
He was the 4 th lineal descendant of Fauzdar Nallappa. He was instrumental in maintaining the antiquity of the temple during his period.
T K Nallappa – 4 (1932 - till date)
He is the 5 th lineal descendent of Fauzdar Nallappa. He is managing the affairs of the Temple for the last 60 Years. Under his leadership and guidance, the Temple has undergone numerous renovations and reconstructions in an exponential way. He has been ensuring all the rituals of the Temple are performed as per the tradition.
